Committed to Improvement New York State Highway Safety
The New York State Governor's Traffic Safety Committee (GTSC) coordinates traffic safety activities in the state and shares useful, timely information about traffic safety and the state's highway safety grant program.
The Committee is comprised of thirteen agencies that have missions related to transportation and safety. The GTSC is chaired by the Commissioner of the Department of Motor Vehicles and acts as the state's official liaison with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Your Artwork Could Be On A Billboard! Drive Safe New York Poster Challenge
GTSC is inviting NYS high school juniors and seniors to create a poster raising awareness about preventing “unsafe driving habits” as a driver or passenger, or recognizing an “unsafe driver” on the road. This poster will be distributed throughout New York State and should encourage people to make safe choices before getting in the car and while on the road.
